What if Google finished your thoughts?

Filed under: Google Clones around 4:22 am

I hope this hasn’t been submitted yet; I thought it was pretty cool. Provide 3-4 words and let Google finish the thought. Useless but cool!

I wonder whether they have something similar in a Malay Language… I just put “Kuih Karipap” and it will give “… kalau diber’ kepada lembu pawah boleh meningkatkan industri kereta kerana ia tiada pewarna tiruan…”. Actually, it can translate some of it LOL!!

Sometimes it generated did did did did did did did endlessly? What’s up with that?

Gangsta Google

Filed under: Google Clones around 8:07 pm

Just what the title says. Check out your blog, read CNN.com and see how a gangsta would have said what’s written there. I love it. I searched my own blog and it was funny hearing my geeky words translated into ghetto-talk.

GoogleX Lives!!

Filed under: Google Clones around 2:09 am

The interface makes all of Google’s goodies–such as Gmail, Froogle, Maps, and more–accessible via a nifty Mac OS X-like toolbar. Originally designed by a Google researcher, the toolbar disappeared shortly after being posted on the Google Labs site. Some Netizens managed to save it before it was taken down.

  • A better GoogleX
After Google took down GoogleX here’s a version that more closely emulates the OSX Dock. And you can look forward to it being improved in the future.
  • GoogleX and Firefox COMBINED!
  • A wanna-be googleX - The only real similarity is the look searchX lets you pick which engine to use, I know it seems useless, but it it may prove worth a look at.
  • Another mod to Google X: Google X 2 has a much more realistic feel to it compared to what it is trying to copy: the Dock feature in Apple’s Mac OS X. It is a little slower, though.

Some say XtraGoogle is better… but actually, Google combined Xtra-Google and Mac’s X OS. Xtra-Google is a part of the Topic Hunter network. I’m not sure how long Xtra-Google has been around, but I have been using it since January. GoogleX didn’t come around until mid-March.

Google Press Releases satire style!

Filed under: Google Clones around 12:55 am

A nice google satire site. But not very imaginative.

Droogle! It’s Google for Drunks

Filed under: Google Clones around 12:53 am

A Search Engine for finding the recipes for drinks. Just add Rohypnol. Yeah that’s just not funny (rohypnol/roofies). And don’t mix alcohol with GHB (sometimes found in vials labeled “liquid ecstasy”), another ‘date rape’ drug that never seems to get any mention.

Like Google’s logo?

Filed under: Google Clones around 6:38 pm

If you like the way Google writes its name and would like to have your own company name or just any name to be spelt like that, then this link can be a lot of fun.

All this google logo thing does is have a picture for every letter and then puts them together to make it look like one picture.. Still kinda neat though. Rather interesting. I can see the “fun” value in this.

You can tell instead of buying the catul font and making each letter from scratch they just took parts of the original google/froogle logo’s and pieced them together.. Yeah, go ahead and use this for your own company’s logo. That will go over SO well. Just offsetting the colors looks so odd.

Ummm how much you wanna bet google has a copyright on it’s logo style? LOL!! How the heck do people find sites like this haha?

A *working* all-in-one Google page

Filed under: Google Clones around 12:08 am

22 Google searches on one page: Images, Groups, News, Froogle, Local, Answers, Maps, Directory, Government, Scholar, Weather, MP3, Clips, Movies, Video, Catalog, Prints, (stock) Quotes, Windows, Mac, Linux, and BSD.

Xtragoogle’s been my homepage for a while. It’s just so dang comprehensive - maps, Froogle, news, OS news, images, and those google hacks (mp3, movie, etc) all in one click. I don’t think it’s any more illegal than putting a google search bar in your page - this one just tosses a few extra terms in your search for you (and looks way prettier).

It’s useful because it’s all in one place. You don’t have to go to the Google home page, then to More, then Labs, etc.

Made for personal use so that the google start page better fit the preferences. BTW: Blogger is a nice little webhost for things like this hehe.. (no ads)

I like it, :D If it was added to www.google.com/ig then it would be even better :D hehe..
Here’s another similar site in mind.

Now I’m getting some ideas for my customised design… hehehehhe….

Google Vs Speegle

Filed under: Google Clones around 2:49 pm

A new revolution in search technology has been released. This new web search site could topple the google empire to the ground with speaking excellence. Try it yourself!

For those with extremely bad eyesite this could be a godsend. For me its annoying but I’m gonna bet it helps those with bad sight. Well that’s definately some good voice synthesis, but I don’t see it ever topping Google. And as already mentioned, Google will inevitably invent or acquire their own voice technology.
